Background: Jordan Webster, the all around beast from the east, the D’s savior, hometown hero; all names that hype him up, he had to live up  to these for the longest time. Going to Michigan State over Michigan made a lot of noise around Detroit, but he said “I always wanted to play for a legendary coach.” Turned out to b'e a great idea, as a sophomore, he lead his team to the Final Four. Being the Player of the Year, this highly hyped player at 6’8 will probably be the top pick or close to it. The real question for him is can he live up to the hype? When he was asked about it, he said, “Basketball comes easy. It's something I have been doing since I was 5 years old…I look up to the greats and I want to be one of those people. There's no pressure really, just hard work and confidence”

Scouting Report:

Athleticism: He has long arms, which could make him a great defender. His speed has yet to be seen talked about, and some people say that he is fast enough to keep up with most shooting guards. Some say he might need to work on his foot work, but it's hard to tell.

Offense: His ability coming into the league could make him starter on a team that needs a sf BAD. He can get easy fouls and tough lay-ups, but his outside scoring has improved year after year and if he keeps improving it HE COULD BE SCARY.

Defense: He is 6’8", but when it comes to rebounding he is kinda small. He has to improve on the broads, but his length should help him. He was an avg. defender in college; the inside scoop says “he was a great defender when he wanted to be….but that wasn’t a lot.”

IT Factor: Yes - Kids definitely coming in the league to be a star, but will he get there is the question.
