Background: Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Randy Douglas was a highly touted recruit coming out of high school. When he arrived at Ohio State last Fall, he was 6'6", 195 lbs and was thought to be a forward. Instead, he packed on 45 pounds and grew to 6'8" before the season started. By the the time the season was over, he was measured at 6'9", 245 lbs. He has since gained 13 pounds of muscle and is continuing to grow. Don't forget, this kid is only nineteen. In his one and only season in college, he won the Freshman of the Year award for his dominance in the Big Ten. This kid could be big time.

Scouting Report:

Athleticism: Douglas is a freak of nature. He runs the floor so well and is still getting stronger every day. If he continues to get bigger, he's going to be hard to push around.

Offense: As of right now, most of his points are going to be coming off of putbacks and dump off passes from driving teammates. He struggles in the post and doesn't have very good footwork down low.

Defense: He blocked a lot of shots in college. He really used the zone defense to his benefit, so it will be interesting to see how he'll transisition to being in man-to-man almost every possession.

IT Factor: Yes - This kid is an athletic freak and already has tons of confidence following his successful season at THE Ohio State University.
